1. Overview of Singapore University

National University of Singapore (NUS) is one of the main and national universities in Singapore. Its history extended until 1905. The present form NUS was founded in 1980, when the University of Singapore and Nanyang University merged. NUS has three campuses – Kent Ridge, Bukit Timah and Outram.

The university consists of 15 College, Faculty and Schools. During the 2024/25 academic year, there were about 29,600 undergraduate students and 15,400 graduate students, that is, a total of about 45,000 students. The university offers wide education opportunities in various fields including Business, Computing, Engineering, Medicine, Law, Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Public Policy and undergraduate levels. NUS is also very active in research.

The university has 37 university-level research institutes and center and six Research Centre. NUS gives special importance to multi-subject education, research, innovation and entrepreneurial activities. At the same time, Asia’s vision and global challenges both subjects have created an international and research-based education environment for students and researchers with importance.
